Self-Healing Credo
We have the power to heal ourselves from disease.
We have the power to remain in a state of disease as well.
We choose which path we are on by the actions we take.
Did you intuitively suspect that food and lifestyle may play a major role in your Crohn’s or colitis? Do you think back and see periods of emotional, physical, or mental stress preceding some of your flare ups? Do you feel like they came out of the blue, yet something tells you that you may be overlooking something you don’t want to see? Or, possibly you just don’t know enough to acknowledge the stressors in your life that may have contributed to your condition?
What if you broke your life down into two areas? Stress and nourishment.
One promotes decay. One supports life.
Are your eating habits mostly stressful or nourishing to your body?
What about your mental life? Are your thoughts mostly nourishing? …do you worry, have persistent anxiety, anger, or mental stress?
How are your emotions? Do you feel balanced? Do you feel strong and confident? How much fear, anxiety, worry, anger, or helplessness do you feel?
When we begin to pay attention to all the areas in our life, we see how they all fit together and influence our health and well-being. No part of our life exists in a vacuum, by itself, isolated from the rest. We may want it to, but our lives only function comprehensively. The beauty of this is, if we become sick, it’s a matter of finding the elements of our lives that are stressing our body into a state of disease. The next step is giving ourselves optimal nourishment to relieve the diseased state and return us to our natural state of health.
Teaching people how to see what is stressing their bodies, how to alleviate the stressors once they are discovered, and finally how to determine the best nourishment for themselves so that they can reach their own optimal health is the service we provide. Our hope is that through becoming more conscious about all areas of our lives we can give people the tools to find their own balance and regain or attain vibrant, joyful, confident health.
